Welcome to Stapleton Road
Stapleton Road public art project.
Studio Meraki was commissioned to act as the art producer to work along side Eastside Community Trust to deliver public artworks along Stapleton road. Together they commissioned 8 female artist to work with the local community along Stapleton Road, Easton
The selected artists collaborated with Studio Meraki to ensure the local community had a voice and were able to participate in the design process of the final artwork to ensure it is embedded in and reflects the local people and the place.
The outcome of this project will be 24 large scale lampost banners that span the 1 mile length of Stapleton road and a very large scale mural on the side of a house on Clare st, instillation due April 2024.
This activity is being delivered under the City Centre and High Streets Recovery and Renewal programme, funded by Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority’s Love our High Streets project.
